Praktikum that strengthens an apprenticeship application
Schools often require Praktikum weeks. Treated as a box to tick, they add little to a Bewerbung. Treated as research, they give you stories for Anschreiben and interviews — and sometimes a direct invitation to apply for an Ausbildungsplatz.
Choose for learning, not only for comfort
If you think you want electrical work, ask for tasks near cable runs and material prep, not only sweeping. If customer service is the goal, seek front-of-house hours. One targeted week beats three vague placements you cannot describe.
Keep a daily note
Write three lines each evening: what you did, what you found hard, whom you asked for help. Those notes become interview answers months later when memory fades.
Ask for a short reference
A few sentences from a supervisor about punctuality and willingness to learn can sit beside your Zeugnis. Ask while you are still on site.
